A man has been taken to hospital after fire destroyed his mobile home south of Lake Macquarie early Thursday morning.
Newcastle Fire Command says 6 trucks were sent to Sunrise Avenue at Halekulani just before 3 o'clock, arriving to find the mobile villa well alight.
It's taken almost an hour to fully extinguish the fire.
A male resident suffered burns to his hands and smoke inhalation and has been taken to Wyong Hospital for treatment.
Police say the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
