Man Arrested Over Public Place Shooting At Raymond Terrace

A man is due to face court next month accused of firing a gun into a house at Raymond Terrace.

The occupants of a home on Benjamin Lee Drive called police last Saturday night when they found a .22 calibre bullet had penetrated the front door and lodged in an internal wall.

Officers searched a Mazda 323 at Dungog yesterday morning, allegedly finding a .22 calibre casing in the footwell.

They later arrested a 19-year-old man at a Raymond Terrace home where its alleged a firearm was found.

He's been charged with firing a gun at a dwelling without regard for public safety and possessing an unauthorised firearm.

He's been granted conditional bail to face Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday 1 June 2020.
