BY IAN CROUCH

A man accused of the fatal assault of another man at Beresfield Station on Monday night, will remain behind bars after facing Maitland Local Court on Tuesday.

Matthew Robert Breckinridge did not apply for bail or enter a plea.

It's understood, the alleged attack was captured on CCTV, which claimed the life of 39-year-old Scott Parrot.

The 27-year-old already had a warrant out for his arrest, after failing to appear last week in Newcastle Local Court over a shoplifting incident.
