A prison inmate has been charged over the alleged assault and intimidation of a prison officer at Muswellbrook.
Police say a female corrective services officer at St Heliers Gaol was assaulted and detained by the prisoner on February 20.
A 50-year-old man was arrested at Goulburn Gaol yesterday and charged with five offences including kidnapping and inflicting actual bodily harm with intent to have sexual intercourse.
He's been remanded in custody to face Muswellbrook Court on June 28.
