A man is due to face court today accused of murder over the suspicious death of his 16-year-old Autistic cousin at Charlestown.
Neighbours of a unit on Charlestown Road reported hearing screams at about 12.30am on Tuesday, with CCTV footage showing a man leaving in a car a short time later.
The boy's father found his lifeless body after returning home.
Police arrested a 24-year-old man in the carpark of the KFC at Thornton around an hour after the alleged incident.
It's claimed he was under the influence of methamphetamine at the time.
He's been refused bail to face Belmont Local Court today (Wednesday 17 March, 2021).
