Ausgrid are working to restore power to over 1000 homes and businesses around Cessnock.
Currently around 1300 residents are without power around Cessnock, Nulkaba, Sawyers Gully, North Rothbury, Neath and Lovedale areas.
They're hoping to have the power switched back on by 2.00pm on Friday afternoon.
RFS Crews were called to Neath Road at Kearsley around 11.00am to reports a tree had fallen down onto power lines.
It has since been cleared.
