Paramedics have been called to reports on an industrial accident at a Hunter Valley coal mine.
Three ambulance crews were dispatched to the Wambo Mine at Warkworth at about 4.30am on Friday to reports a number of people had inhaled poisonous fumes from a fire.
Paramedics are currently assessing seven patients for smoke inhalation - two were eventually transported to Singleton Hospital for further treatment and later released to return to work.
