Truck Driver Charged Over Firey Crash On M1

Police have now charged a truck driver at the centre of yesterday's firey crash on the M1 at Mooney Mooney which claimed the lives of TWO men.

A B-Double crashed into the back of a Ford utility cars just north of the Mooney Mooney Bridge at about 4.50pm and burst into flames.

4 other cars were involved in the crash, with 5 people taken to hospital.

The 30-year-old truck driver has been charged with a number of offences including two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death.

His licence has been suspended and he's been granted conditional bail to face Gosford Court on August 21.
