Fire has destroyed two cruisers moored at a popular Nelson Bay marina this morning.
Firefighters from Salamander Bay, Raymond Terrace and the Hazmat Unit from Newcastle were called to D'Albora Marinas just after 2.30am where they found the two 50 foot cruisers moored side-by-side well alight.
One of the vessels has sunk - a third cruiser was also damaged.
An RFS boat is also assisting in the firefighting effort.
Booms have been placed around the cruisers to contain fuel leaks.
It's not clear at this stage if there's been any damage to the marina itself.
Police and Ambulance crews are also at the scene and the EPA has been notified.
There are no reports of any injuries.
