Police Investigate Sexual Assault Of 12-Year-Old Girl At Adamstown Heights

A 12-year-old girl has endured a terrifying ordeal after being sexually assaulted multiple times by a stranger at Adamstown Heights.

The girl was walking through Hudson Park on Terence Street at about 9.15 on Tuesday morning when she was approached and threatened by a man wielding a knife.

She was raped before being forced into a red car and driven to bushland where she was assaulted again.

The girl was released 5 hours later at Kotara Railway Station and made her way home.

She was taken to the John Hunter Hospital for a medical examination and police set up a crime scene at Hudson Park.

The man has only been described as being of a solid/large build with brown hair.

Police are urging anyone who was in the Adamstown Heights area or anyone with information which may assist their investigation to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
