After three months of operation, FlyPelican has launched a new Adelaide flight schedule out of Newcastle Airport to meet passenger demand.
In March the airline began offering flights from Newcastle to Adelaide return three times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Under the new schedule, Fly Pelican have scrapped the Tuesday flight in favour of the new Monday flight.
FlyPelican CEO Paul Graham described the new schedule as an optimal schedule that meets the needs of passengers.
"With the ability to spend a leisurely weekend either in the Hunter region or in South Australia with a direct 2-hour flight, we are confident that our new schedule will be welcomed and well patronised," Mr Graham said.
Newcastle Airport CEO Dr Peter Cock welcomed the new schedule, crediting the community interest in the new service over the past three months with driving the inclusion of the Monday flight.
"Thanks to FlyPelican you can now depart on Friday evening and return Monday. This gives holidaymakers, from South Australia and the Hunter and Central Coast, an even smarter link to and from Adelaide," Dr Cock said.
