Two women are due to face court today (Wednesday 31 May, 2023) over their alleged involvement in a violent armed robbery at East Maitland last month.
Police say a 30-year-old man was attacked by a group of five people armed with tyre irons and a firearm at a Curtin Street home on April 4.
Officers made a number of arrests two days later including two women aged 30 and 40.
They've been held in custody pending their appearance in Newcastle Local Court today charged with Robbery While Armed With A Dangerous Weapon.
