A man has suffered gunshot wounds during a shooting incident at Gateshead early Thursday.
Police and Paramedics were called to an address in Flame Street at about 4.15am, finding a 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right inner thigh.
He's been stabilised at the scene before being taken to the John Hunter Hospital for treatment.
Police have set up a crime scene as investigations into the shooting get under way.
