Quick work by firefighters has prevented a shed fire from spreading to an adjoining home at Balcolyn early Tuesday morning.
RFS and Fire & Rescue crews were called Bay Street at about 4.20am to find a speed boat parked in an attached car port on fire.
There were concerns the fire was starting to impact the house but crews managed to knock down the flames before they could do any more damage, with the side of the house scorched and an adjacent bathroom sustaining smoke and water damage.
No-one was injured during the incident and the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
