Police have charged a man with indecently assaulting a 15-year-old girl in his care in Newcastle last month.
The 40-year-old was charged on Wednesday afternoon at Waratah Police Station with two counts of indecent assault on a person under 16 and aggravated indecency, following an intensive investigation.
The man was initially arrested in October but was released pending further inquires and was suspended from working with children.
He's been refused bail to face Newcastle Local Court on November 29.
