Hunter Boy Receives Bravery Award For Saving His Friend

BY SARAH BARONOWSKI

A 10-year-old Hunter boy is today being honoured for his bravery and a calmness beyond his years after helping to save the life of his best friend.

Ash Wade was mountain climbing in Raymond Terrace back in October when a boulder fell on his friend Josh Ferry.

Ash was quick to act and called 000 to report the incident, helping paramedics narrow down their location whilst reassuring his young pal.

He has now been recognised for his mature and brave actions by the NSW Ambulance Service, with a bravery award.
