Maitland organisations to benefit from $400,000 in latest round of state grants

BY JORDAN REGNIS

Maitland has received $400,000 in the latest round of state grants to improve services at local organisations, such as the Rotary Club and the Hunter Community Legal Centre.

The funds are a part of the NSW Government's 2021 Community Building Partnership Program, and will fund resources and infrastructure for 19 projects in Maitland.

Maitland MP Jenny Aitchison says "it's a massive boost for our community".

"It's not a dollar for dollar grant meaning, businesses can get the amount they need to complete the project," Ms Aitchison said.

"The catering trailer that the Maitland rotary club will get, will also help other community groups as well."
