Emergency services have been called to a two car smash at East Maitland.
The crash happened just before 5.00am on Wednesday at the intersection of High and Lindesay Street with one of the cars overturning.
Paramedics are treating a 50-year-old man for shock, he's now been transported to hospital for further treatment.
Traffic on High Street is obstructed and police and firefighters are at the scene.
