NSW Lotteries Searching for Mystery Winner of $1.2 Million Ticket Bought at Swansea

BY ISABEL EVERETT

NSW Lotteries are searching for a Swansea resident or visitor who is the owner of an unclaimed $1.2 million lottery ticket.

The player holds one of the four division one winning entries in the Saturday June 6th 4057 lottery draw, each winner taking home a prize of $1,239,024.95.

The ticket is unregistered, so officials from the Lott have no way of contacting the winner and have to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
In New South Wales players have six years to claim their lottery prizes.

The mystery winner purchased their ticket at Swansea Newsagency.

Swansea Newsagency owner Wayne Blackmore said he couldn’t be happier for his mystery winner and hoped they discovered their win soon.

“We are very excited to have contributed to making someone’s dream of winning the lottery come true,” he said.

“We have been sharing the news with all of our customers that we sold a winning ticket in a Saturday Lotto draw.

“All of our customers are so excited and hope they will be the next to win a division one prize!

“We would like to congratulate our winner and thank them for shopping at our store. We are so happy –  it almost feels as though we have won ourselves!

“Hopefully they come forward soon so they can begin to live their life as a millionaire!”

The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was eager to confirm the wining news with Swansea’s newest millionaire.

“We’re urging anyone who purchased an entry into the weekend’s draw from Swansea Newsagency to check their tickets today, as they could be the winner we’re searching for.

“Make sure you check your wallet, handbag, fridge door, or anywhere else you may have stored your tickets. Previous winners have found valuable tickets in all sorts of places.

“If you discover you’re holding the winning ticket, hold on tight to it and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so we can start the prize claim process!”
