A 26-year-old unlicensed driver has been arrested for mid range drink driving, after being seen doing burnouts in Cardiff South.
About 11:37pm on Thursday, members of the public called police about a white Holden Commodore doing burnouts on Waterview Road, Cardiff South.
The vehicle became bogged in wet grass and police arrived to find the vehicle abandoned, with the man approaching police shortly after.
Police say they could smell liquor on the mans breath and subjected him to a road side breath test which gave a positive result.
The man was placed under arrest and taken to the Belmont Police Station where a breath analysis gave the reading of 0.129 - the Mid Range PCA, with his drivers licence expiring on the 13th of September, 2019.
The man was charged with a number of driving offences including, driving with a Mid Range PCA and will appear in court later in March.
