The Hunter Business Chamber is welcoming the latest stimulus package from the State Government, as the Coronavirus begins to take it's toll on businesses across the region.
Along with a boost to health infrastructure, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced new measures aimed at keeping people employed in the hopes of softening the blow to the economy amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
The centerpiece of the stimulus package is a three-month waiver on payroll tax for businesses with payrolls of up to $10 million, as well as fast tracking $500 million in infrastructure spending.
