A former foster carer is due to face court accused of indecently assaulting a girl in his care in the Newcastle region.
It's alleged the 42-year-old man indecently assaulted the then 9-year-old girl on several occasions in 2017.
He was arrested at a home on the Central Coast on Wednesday 19 February and charged with 4 counts of indecent assault and commit act of indecency with a person under the age of 16.
He's been refused bail to face Newcastle Local Court today (Wednesday 4 March 2020.
