Police Employee Charged Over Music Festival Incident

A civilian employee of the NSW Police Force has been charged with assault following an incident at a Hunter Valley music festival.

The 27-year-old woman allegedly verbally abused and shoulder charged another woman she knew at a Pokolbin music festival on February 15.

Police say the 39-year-old woman fell and suffered bruising and soreness to her shoulder and chest as a result.

The 27-year-old police employee was charged with common assault and will appear before Cessnock Local Court on April 15.
