Hunter Mother And Son's Miracle Survival After 10 Days Lost In Bush

BY IAN CROUCH

Police it's a miracle a mother and son managed to survive for 10 days after becoming lost in remote bushland north of Singleton.

40-year-old Michelle Small and her 9-year-old son Dylan became lost in the Mount Royal National Park after going buskwalking during the October long weekend.

They were found yesterday after an extensive search and taken to Singleton Hospital where they were treated for dehydration and insect bites.

Police say the pair had no food and survived by drinking water collected on leaves.
