Wallsend MP Sonia Hornery has taken to social media after furniture was dumped outside her office.
She says it's just part of the problem of illegal dumping affecting the Hunter, as op shops contend with dumped loads on a daily basis.
The longtime MP told 2NUR it is "unfair and inconsiderate" and that the culprits could have easily left the lounges at the tip or for council collection.
"If I need to have a conversation with the new Lord Mayor of Newcastle about ways to encourage and give people the ability to get rid of their large waste, I'm happy to do that, but this is not the way," she said.
CCTV cameras were at the front of the car park and footage will be investigated.
