Hunter commuters can expect more delays on the rail network this month, as industrial action continues.
The industrial campaign by the Rail, Tram and Bus Union begins this Sunday with a network-wide ban on transport officers issuing fines and cautions.
Trains on the Hunter and Central Coast lines will be disrupted from 10am from 4pm on August 23, with a major strike by rail workers.
There'll be similar strikes in Wollongong and southern Sydney on August 10, in Sydney and south-eastern parts of the state on August 17, and another strike in the Sydney CBD on August 25.
From August 12, cleaners will be banned from using vacuum cleaners or scrubbing machines, and the day after, station staff will begin to leave gates open at all times.
On August 15, crews will only operate trains that meet maintenance centre minimum standards, while a ban on operating foreign-made trains will begin on August 31.
