More support will soon be available for flood victims in disaster-declared areas of the Hunter.
Rental Support Payments for up to 16 weeks are available to help households secure accommodation, and grants of a up to $25,000 are being offered to rural landholders who are ineligible for existing grant programs.
Emergency Services Minister, Steph Cook says the rental support will help people find safe, secure accommodation while they begin the recovery process, and the grants will help kick-start the clean-up for many landholders hit by flooding yet again.
