Lake Macquarie residents are being invited to a drop-in session to have their say on the future of the Burwood Colliery Dam near Whitebridge.
A pair of two-hour sessions are being held at Whitebridge High School on August 16, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, and 6pm to 8pm.
The Department of Primary Industries is seeking feedback on plans to remove the dam wall and rehabilitate the site.
The structure is near the end of its life and is likely to need major maintenance moving forward, but it's hoped the site could be restored as a natural waterway.
