A Sydney man reported missing in Newcastle has been found safe and well.
Brian Dowsett was last seen getting off a train in Newcastle last Friday.
Police say following inquiries and a number public appeals, Brien was found safe and weel in the Sydney CBD on Tuesday.
Police have thanked the public and the media for their assistance.

There are growing concerns for the welfare of a Sydney pensioner who hasn't been seen since getting off a train in Newcastle 3 days ago.
Police have established 71-year-old Brian Dowsett boarded a train at Lindfield which arrived in Newcastle just before 3.00pm on Friday.
He was last seen heading south towards Beresford Lane.
Targeted text messages were sent out yesterday, but Newcastle Police have confirmed this morning he's still missing.
Brian is described as being Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, medium build with short grey hair on the sides, grey beard and moustache.
He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved grey sweater, blue track pants and carrying a blue bag.
