A man is due to face Newcastle Local Court today over an alleged shooting incident at Wallsend earlier this week.
Police say a shot was fired through the front window of a Platt Street home just before 2 o'clock on Tuesday morning - the three adults and three children inside weren't injured .
Just before 1.00am yesterday (Wednesday 3 February, 2021) officers say they stopped a stolen Toyota Camry on Lambton Road, Broadmeadow and arrested the 25-year-old male driver and his 22-year-old female passenger.
A search of the car allegedly revealed a shortened shotgun, ammunition and a small amount of cannabis.
The man's been charged with 10 offences including firing a gun at a dwelling with disregard for safety.
The woman's been issued with a cannabis caution.
