The Hunter's Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been called in to winch an elderly man to safety after he fell onto rocks at a Central Coast Beach.
Emergency services were called to Avoca Beach just after 4.00pm on Sunday where they found the 81-year-old suffering multiple fractures and pelvic injuries.
Paramedics and the Helicopter's Critical Care Team stabilised the man's condition before he was winched into the helicopter and flown to Gosford Hospital for further treatment.
