Four young men have been left shaken after being set upon and robbed in Hunter Street, Newcastle West early this morning.
The 18 and 19-year-olds were walking near the intersection of Denison Street just before 4am when three people attacked them.
Police say they were kicked and punched by the offenders with two of the teens suffering bruising and lacerations to the head.
The trio stole a wallet from one of the victims.
Police hope CCTV footage will help to identify the culprits.
