Police Investigate Medowie Home Invasion

BY IAN CROUCH

Two women have been held against their will for an hour as two masked men ransacked their home at Medowie.

Police say the pair forced their way into the Rosewood Drive house just after midnight armed with weapons and eventually left with a laptop computer, mobile phones and rings.

However, within half an hour of the women calling police for help, officers arrested a man in a nearby street with some rings stolen during the home invasion allegedly in his possession.

He's due to front Raymond Terrace Local Court today charged with aggravated break and enter and kidnapping, while the search continues for the second offender.

Police say it's likely the incident was a targeted attack.
