A 20-year-old Windale man has been charged over last week's explosion which badly damaged the toilet block at Redhead Surf Club.
It's alleged the man stole aerosol cans from a supermarket at The Junction last Tuesday night before using them to set fire to the toilet block.
He was arrested at his home yesterday and charged with maliciously damage property and shoplifting.
The 20-year-old's been granted conditional bail to front Belmont Local Court on August 24.
