A man has suffered head and neck injuries, after being struck with a chain and shackle at a property at Baerami near Sandy Hollow on Tuesday afternoon.
Paramedics treated the 31-year-old at the scene, before he was flown to the John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
It's believed the chain broke when he was trying to use the tractor to pull a truck which had been bogged.
