Newcastle MP Sharon Claydon has launched the 2022 Newcastle Photography Competition.
The competition encourages amateur, hobbyist or professional photographers from the Newcastle area to take photos which feature Newcastle's natural beauty and quirky character.
"The winning photograph will be showcased on my annual Christmas card that will be sent to every household in the city as well as businesses and community groups in our area and dignitaries such as members of Parliament, Ambassadors, the Prime Minister, and the Governor-General," Ms Claydon said.
"The winner will also receive a $150 voucher to spend at MacLean's Book sellers or any of the dozens of creative, independent and locally owned Makers and Traders Newcastle businesses. And $50 vouchers will go to three runners up!"
Photos can be taken on any device, including cameras, smartphones or drones, as long as they were taken this year.
Entries close on Sunday 30 October.
