BREAKING! Two Juveniles Arrested After Hold-Up At Rutherford Service Station.

 BY IAN CROUCH

Two juveniles are due to face the Children's Court today accused of holding up a Rurtherford Service Station at knife-point.

Police say a male and female entered the Puma Service Station on the New England Highway at about 10.30pm on Sunday and threatened the 26-year-old female attendant with a large knife.

She handed over cash and cigarettes, while a 32-year-old female customer was also threatened and told to hand over cash - but was able to persuade the pair not to take her property.

They fled the store and police were notified.

A nearby police patrol noticed the 15-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl crossing the highway near the service station and gave chase on foot, with the pursuit heading over over several fences in the area before they were arrested.

They've both been charged with armed robbery and refused bail.
