Police are appealing for help to find a man wanted over the theft of a truck and a home invasion in Newcastle.
The man was seen driving the flat bed truck used for traffic management in King Street at about 2.00pm on Tuesday - the truck was later recovered.
It's then alleged he broke into a house in Parkway Avenue at Cooks Hill about 3 hours later but ran off when he was confronted by the occupant.
He was then seen at a clothes line in the backyard of a home in Watkins Street at Merewether.
The man's described as being of Aboriginal appearance, 35 to 45 years old, 180cm tall with short black hair and a stubble beard.
He was last seen wearing blue rugby shorts and may be wearing a white t shirt.
