SES Gives Heads Up For Possible East Coast Low In Hunter

BY IAN CROUCH

The State Emergency Service is encouraging Hunter residents to be prepared for the possibility of wild weather this weekend.

There's the potential for an East Coast Low to form off the Hunter coast which may result in periods of heavy rain, strong winds and hazardous surf conditions from early Sunday.

The SES says residents should clean roofs, gutters and downpipes, trim tree branches away from property and secure outdoor items and furniture.

Residents are urged to monitor the Weather Bureau for severe weather and flood warnings.
