Man Charged With Drink Driving, Believed to Have Lost Control of Car And Rolled, After Leaving Lake Macquarie Pub

A 50-year-old man will face Toronto Court later this month, after being charged with mid range drink driving in Lake Macquarie. 

Around 11.50pm on Thursday the man left a licenced premises in Bonnells Bay. 

Police allege the man lost control of his vehicle on Fishery Point Road west of Pearson Street, before the car came to rest horizontally to the road.

The vehicle had damage to the boot, the rear window had shattered and the offside rear had dirt marks consistent with hitting the ground. The vehicle is believed to have rolled.

Police attended the scene, and the male was arrested and taken to Toronto Police Station where he submitted to a Breath Analysis that returned a reading of 0.111 - the Mid Range

He was charged with Mid Range PCA and his licence was immediately suspended.
