Contraflow conditions are in place at Swansea Bridge, which has become stuck after opening on Thursday morning.
Motorists travelling in both directions are using the southbound bridge, with one lane of the Pacific Highway open in each direction.
Traffic and maintenance crews are working to resolve the situation.
Traffic is heavy in both directions and motorists should allow extra time, exercise caution and reduce speed.
The bridge reopened around 2:30 Thursday afternoon.
