Pair Facing Murder, Fraud Charges Over Danielle Easey Death

BY MADELAINE MCNEILL

Charges have been laid overnight against the two people arrested over the murder of Danielle Easey.

Following inquiries, the 33-year-old man arrested at Cardiff has been charged with murder.

The 32-year-old woman arrested at Holmesville has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder and a fraud offence, with police alleging she impersonated Danielle online following her death to gain access to money.

A van seized during Thursday's arrests has been forensically examined and investigations are continuing, with specialist forensic police still examining properties at Cardiff and Narara.

The body of 29-year-old Danielle Easey was located in Cockle Creek at Killingworth late last month.

The pair have been refused bail to appear in court today.
