UPDATED: Fears Held For Missing Patient From Morisset Hospital

A man missing from a Morisset medical facility since last week has been located safe and well.

There were concerns for the 25-year-old, who requires regular medication and had no access to money or a mobile phone.

He returned to the facility before 9 o'clock this morning.


EARLIER:

Lake Macquarie police are appealing for public help to find a man who's gone missing from Morisset Hospital.

25-year-old Jackson Melrose was last seen at Morisset Railway Station at about 5pm last Wednesday.

There are concerns for his welfare as he needs regular medication to manage his mental health condition.

Jackson is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a fair complexion and dark short hair.

He's about 175 centimetres tall with a goatee beard and brown eyes and was last seen wearing shorts, t-shirt and thongs.

It's believed he doesn't have access to money or a mobile phone.

Jackson is known to frequent the Wakefield and Edgeworth areas.

Police are urging any who sees Jackson not to approach him but to call Triple Zero immediately.
