A Sydney man is expected to face court over a wild pursuit through Muswellbrook.
Witnesses alerted police to a silver Mazda 3 being driving erratically and at high speed on the New England Highway at about 11.30pm on Monday.
Police located the car but the driver refused to stop, leading them on a 5 minute pursuit through several streets at speeds reaching 100 kilometres per hour in a 60 zone.
The car then headed down a dead end street where the 34-year-old man from Seven Hills was arrested.
He was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station where he allegedly blew a mid range blood alcohol reading of 0.129.
He's been charged with dangerous driving, police pursuit ( Skye's law) and mid range drink driving.
Police also confiscated his car keys and suspended his drivers licence.
