Police have launched a public appeal to find a 12-year-old girl who's been missing in the Hunter region since Monday afternoon.
Sophie Fletcher was last seen leaving Newcastle Interchange on a bus headed to Nelson Bay at about 1.40pm on Monday.
Police believe she may have boarded a train at Newcastle Interchange at about 4pm the same day.
There are concerns for her welfare due to her age.
Sophie is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a thin build and black hair in two pigtails.
She was last seen wearing denim shorts, a black hoodie, white socks, white slide sandals and was carrying a black backpack.
Sophie is known to frequent the Rutherford, Newcastle and Liverpool areas.
