Man Suffers Critical Burns At Woy Woy

 BY IAN CROUCH

A man in his 30's has been airlifted to Sydney by the Hunter's Westpac Rescue Helicopter after suffering significant burns during an incident on the Central Coast early Tuesday morning.

Paramedics were called to a home on Shoalhaven Drive at Woy Woy at about 4am.

They treated the man for burns to his face and hands before transporting him to a nearby sports field where he was flown to the Burns Unit at the Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical but stable condition.

It's believed an aerosol can may have exploded in a fire.
