Two People In Custody After Separate Pursuits End At Warners Bay

 BY IAN CROUCH

Two people are in custody following separate high speed police pursuits on the Central Coast and Lake Macquarie overnight.

Police say a Holden Commodore failed to stop for a random breath test on the Pacific Highway at Wyong at about 11.30pm on Tuesday, but the chase was terminated due to speed and manner of driving.

The Polair helicopter continued to track the vehicle.

Officers resumed the pursuit on Macquarie Road at Eleebana at about 1.00am on Wednesday, with road spikes deployed on The Esplanade at Warners Bay to stop the car.

A 26-year-old man is due to face Belmont Court today charged with Police pursuit, not stop.

A 25-year-old woman is expected to face court at a later date.
