Police are appealing for assistance as they investigate an attempted assault on an elderly man at Woodberry.
Police say the 78-year-old was walking along Lawson Avenue at about 4.40pm on Thursday when one of two boys demanded money and his mobile phone.
When he refused, the boy allegedly picked up a large stick and swung it at the man, causing him to fall to the ground.
He suffered abrasions to his nose and cheek in the fall.
The boys are described as being about 12 to 14 years old - one was riding a BMX bike, the other a black and dark blue scooter.
Police want to hear from anyone with dashcam footage of the incident.
