Firefighters have been called to a fire at a retirement village in southern Lake Macquarie.
A female resident of a unit at the Lake Munmorah Residential Resort in Saliena Avenue called Triple-Oh just after 3.30am to report a fire in the laundry.
Crews from NSW Fire & Rescue and the Rural Fire Service arrived at the over 50's resort to find the unit well alight.
The two occupants managed to escape unharmed.
The fire was contained to the one unit which has been extensively damaged.
It's believed the fire may have started in a clothes dryer.
