BREAKING! Singleton Shopping Centres Evacuated After Bomb Threat

BY IAN CROUCH

A bomb threat has forced the evacuation of two shopping centres at Singleton.

Police and emergency services were called to the Gowrie Street Mall and the nearby IGA complex just before 4pm yesterday after a man allegedly made a bomb threat to staff.

The shops were evacuated and a search was carried out but nothing was found.

A 42-year-old man was arrested nearby - he's been charged with threaten sabotage and has been refused bail to face Muswellbrook Local Court today.
